What to do in case of a defect ?
In case a problem occurs with your printer, we recommend
the following procedures:
- Is an error message displayed in LED display of the
printer or on the computers monitor? IT´S WISE TO NOTE ANY ERROR MESSAGES
which could prove useful when contacting a support technician.
- If an error message is quite clear, e.g. "Printer
not found", you could possibly use to trace the cause of the fault yourself.
- In case the meaning of the error message is not clear,
please contact GCC technical support on 1800 422 776 for further help.
- You can save time if prior to contacting our tech support
staff you have completed registration of your printer, in which case we know
what kind of printer you have and when is was purchased. In any case it is
always wise to have the following information at hand before you call GCC
technical support:
- The printer model
- The serial number of your printer
- The ROM and software version of your printer
- Which OS you use, e.g. W98, WinXP, MacOS 9, MacOS X etc.
- Error messages?
- Is it possible to reproduce the problem or fault?
- (If networked) Does the error when printing from more than one computer?
- Does the error occur in one application only, or is it a more general
type of fault?
Having this information ready when you call GCC´s
technical support staff ensures that you are provided the quickest possible
help. Most of this information can be obtained by printing out the printer`s
"Configuration Page" as follows:
- Switch on the printer and wait until the green "Ready"
LED goes on
- Press the ON-Line button once. This switches the printer
offline
- Press the MENU button 8 times until the Display reads
"Show Info Page / Configuration"
- Press the ENTER button to print out the configuration
page
Should your printer prove to have a technical defect which
cannot be resolved on the phone, it will need to be repaired by GCC or an authorized
GCC service dealer.

Onsite service in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide
and Perth (50Km radius)
$242 including GST. Additional costs if parts are required.
Includes callout fee and 1 hour labour onsite.
Inhouse service in Melbourne
$132 inc GST per hour. Additional costs if parts are required.
